Quote of the week

I don't know if this movie came back to my mind because I just had a talk with Buster (our bunny) or because of the mood I'm in or because I can't find sleep right now.
Don't be disappointed if this is not a laugh today.
Black Rabbit of Death: All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies. And whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first, they must catch you ... digger, listener, runner. Prince with the swift warren. Be cunning and your people will never be destroyed.

That's a picture that I'd like to loom one of these days.

Warning: If you cry easily or have a problem with gruesome scenes, even if it's an animation picture, this movie is not for you.

  1. I recognized that picture as soon as I saw it! I love Watership Down, the movie and the book, but I do sob and sob and sob and sob..especially at the end, when you see that picture and Lord Frith speaks and Hazel lays down...oh sob!

    1. I sobbed all the way through writing this post just from watching the last scene!!

  2. oh know, a sobby gruesome movie...
i am having a hard enough time making it through clibe barkers book of blood right now
perhaps i am too frail :P

well way to morbid up my evening cat!! ;)
now come on by and bring one of those döner kebabs the germans make so well, and we can sit and watch the movie together
ill pretend to be brave and act all tough
and you can cry for me with a box of tissues
    sounds like a plan :D

    1. I got the waterworks genes from my Grandmom.
Now we had more than one bunny named after characters from this movie, so that shows you it's worth every single tear shed.
(And of course Art Garfunkel singing Mike Batt's Bright Eyes is just perfect.)
