It's time for Marsha in the Middle's 10 on the 10th.
This time it's all about October and fall. Here are her "this or that" questions.
Pumpkin spice latte or apple cider?
I have never had a pumpkin spice latte in my life, but I can imagine that I would like it. I'll still choose the apple cider, though.
Lots of layers or one big bulky one?
I rarely wear a lot of layers. It's usually one shirt, maybe a light jacket and my denim jacket. If that's too cold, it's shirt and my big jacket.
Harvest festival or craft fair?
I don't think I have ever been to a harvest fair, to be honest, I don't even remember something like it is done in my area (I can only think of spring events), so it's the craft fair for me.
Football games or movie nights?
This one is really easy. I don't watch sports at all, it bores me. Give me a movie anytime!
Fuzzy socks or fuzzy slippers?
Neither if possible. I would prefer to be barefoot, but have a pair of sensible felt slippers to walk around because my feet need all the support they can get.
I always have a blanket around, but often enough my feet are sticking out and only go under it for a quick warm-up if they need it.
Orange pumpkins or white pumpkins?
Orange pumpkins. They always make me think of Linus sitting in the pumpkin field and are just more traditional to me.
If I decorated for fall, I would probably mix in other natural colors and shapes, but not necessarily white.
Jeans or leggins?
Jeans, but the denim can't be too thick anymore. It's a heat thing with me, I love the look of jeans, but wear thinner ones even in winter now.
Horror movie or Halloween baking championship?
Do you mean to watch or to participate in? 😉
I don't really watch horror movies because it doesn't make much sense to watch a movie through your fingers. If I watch horror, it's usually a really old film.
I'm not a baker myself and also don't watch others baking (not even The Great British Bakeoff, I prefer watching crafts) and I definitely wouldn't take part in a contest. I would gladly have a look at the finished products, though. People's creativity is amazing.
Thunderstorm or crisp, chilly days?
I'll take the crisp, chilly days.
Kettle corn or candy corn?
I only had candy corn once in my life, it's not a thing here. A friend sent me some from the USA when she heard I had never tried it there.
The ex loved his popcorn and he loved it sweet, never salty. He made it in a pot, so I guess that is kettle corn? Then he put a bit aside which didn't get sweetened, that was for Dude who absolutely loved it (of course he didn't get much). I'm not a big popcorn eater myself and never make it.
If I had to choose, I would probably take the candy corn just because it's something different (and can sit around for a while!).
How would you choose? You are welcome to play along on Marsha's blog!

I love hearing your answers. I hope there is no participating in horror movies! Lol!

I would absolutely refuse to go into the lonely dark house in the woods all by myself!
DeleteWhen I had to go to the stacks in the library basement, no lights on, just me there early in the morning, I always thought "now I'm one of those stupid people going into the darkness all alone", but at least I knew the basement 😁
Your comment about how it doesn't make sense to watch a movie through your fingers is hysterical! And I so agree! I have to admit I'm shocked by some of your answers...you never had a pumpkin spice latte? Girl you're missing out. And there aren't any fall festivals where you live? There are so many by me it's impossible to attend them all. I have to pick a different one every year.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to coffee shops and therefore couldn't tell you if it's much of a thing here (although I guess it is by now). The little café I sometimes go to doesn't have it.
DeleteAlso I don't know about the fall festivals. I haven't seen one in person when I still got around and now that I don't anymore I don't know if I just don't see announcements! 🙂
Ha! I could eat popcorn every day, and a good pumpkin spice latte is a delish treat. I am hot natured so I barely bundle up in winter. A pullover sweater would cause me to have a heat stroke! No thank you to scary movies!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I gave up knitting, I only used to make sweaters.
DeleteBeautiful photos, dear Cat! I love popcorn...and I love cats, as you know! :) I enjoyed reading your responses.
ReplyDeleteI never watch sports, I find it boring. The only sport I did enjoy watching was the professional bowlers...unfortunately, the networks saw fit for whatever reason to take this off their lineup.
I am not a fan of scary movies or romance ones, either. I do enjoy thrillers, movies based on true stories and some comedy...such as Naked Gun series, (Leslie Nielson was a riot!) Pink Panther series (with Peter Sellers, he was so funny)
Thank you!
DeleteMy sister has the same problem with snooker here. Every time there's an exciting game on with one of her favorites, they show some kind of cycling instead!
Well, you know what kind of movies I like - old ones!
I don't care all that much about the process either but really love seeing the finished products for any sort of decorative craft-- edible or otherwise.... unless I want to try that process myself, of course, then I care how it was made.
ReplyDeleteI think one reason might be that I'm not able to imagine the taste of a cake they show me by telling me what they put in, but I can appreciate the shaping, decorating, heck, even the part of not burning it.
DeleteI feel differently about other crafts. I love seeing potters on the wheel, people making miniatures, weaving, beading, sewing. It relaxes me and makes me happy, maybe because I can relate to them better even if I don't do them myself. No idea if that made sense.
Now, I would definitely have figured you would love horror movies! I go barefoot in the house most of the time until it just gets ways too cold for my feet even though the temp hasn't really changed. I used to really like popcorn, but it was just the plain buttered kind for me. I am kinda basic when it comes to food!

How funny! I'm so not a horror person, I'm too much of a wimp for it. Last night, I had to fight some vampires in a dream, that was bad enough (I woke up before either of us could win)!
DeleteLove the photo of Dude! It’s always odd to me when a cat likes popcorn, but Dude isn’t the only cat I’ve heard of who did. Random question: are white pumpkins even edible?
ReplyDeleteDude was also crazy for all kinds of potatoes, even chips, we rarely had any at home, but if we did, we had to watch him!
DeleteYes, white pumpkins can be edible, also other colors, you just have to make sure not to get specifically ornamental pumpkins.
I am an apple cider person as well!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteI would answer very similarly to the way you have answered the prompts this month. My kitty likes popcorn, pretzels and goldfish!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I forgot about the pretzels, my ex used to eat the little hard ones. I think Dude probably loved the crunch sounds.
DeleteI like the layer question. I choose layers, because one big sweater or layer makes me feel claustrophobic. I like to be able to take things off without offending anyone ; )
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because many layers make me feel claustrophobic, especially if there are sleeves in sleeves in sleeves!
DeleteLong sleeves beneath long sleeves are claustrophic to me too, so I always wear t-shirts with short sleeves : )
DeleteI used to do that, but now I'm almost exclusively wearing 3/4 sleeves which I love for my one layer. It's funny how we all have our preferences! 😄
DeleteI enjoyed reading your choices: it is always fun to see what people like and why.

It really is and sometimes very surprising, too!
