Oldies but Goodies - Rainy Days

The last Oldies but Goodies challenge was about fall colors, and this week is about rainy days that fall will (hopefully) bring as we still need rain.
I love rainy days, and the Jewelry Artisans Community Oldies but Goodies Challenge didn't disappoint with its beautiful entries for the topic. It was very hard to pick only a few!
Do you have memories about rainy days that were special to you? When people are surprised that I like rain, I tell them the story about when I was in 2nd grade and there was a thunderstorm. The classroom was dark even with the lights being on, and I remember feeling safe and snug and enjoying the spectacle outside.
Enough now, time for some jewelry!

  1. I can remember feeling snug when it rained as a kid too! As an adult, it seemed I was forced to go out in it a lot. Work. Now that I’m retired, I live in a place that rarely gets rain, but when it does rain, I enjoy for about one day, then I’m done. 😜 Beautiful collage!

    1. There's always the way to and from the train station for me, but I rarely mind the rain.
There was one time, though, on a little Saturday morning trip in a very hot summer that a pal and I got caught in a downpour that reminded me of monsoon picture. I couldn't see at all where I was walking and I have never been that soaked *lol*
My pal had two extra t-shirts in his car, though, so only the bra and jeans felt a tad uncomfortable ;-)

  2. Mmmmm...I love rainy days and this collection does a terrific job of capturing the moods of rain. We had a few rainy days here in California back in early November and nothing but sunshine since then. It sounds good, but we desperately need rain so I'm going to do a little rain dance around the collage and hope that it brings rain. If it works, I'll go outside and dance in the rain - maybe I'll get as soaked as you did, Cat!
